Delivery, service and support efforts recognized

BILLERICA, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 1, 2009-- Millipore Corporation (NYSE: MIL), a leading provider of technologies, tools and services for the global life science industry, has received an award for “Supply Consistency” from Amgen Inc. The award was presented at a ceremony at Amgen’s biennial Operations Supplier Forum, held at the company’s headquarters in Thousand Oaks, CA. Millipore also received the award, previously known as “Excellence in Service,” at the last forum, held in 2007.

Jean-Paul Mangeolle, President of Millipore’s Bioprocess Division, noted, “We are pleased to receive recognition from a world-leading biotech company like Amgen, and proud to have won this award for the second consecutive time.”

Accepting the award was Bob McGuirk, Millipore’s VP Bioprocess Supply Chain, who said, “We are very pleased to receive the Supplier Consistency award from Amgen, which shows that our customers recognize our efforts to drive delivery, support and service improvements.”
